Politicians have responsibility to conduct affairs of state in such a way that generals are not tempted to interfere.
KARACHI: This is with reference to the coverage of the Musharraf trial in the Pakistani media. I am not against the trial per se, but I am concerned with transparency and fairness.
It is fine to say that generals should not interfere in politics and if they do, they should be punished. This is only half the truth and there is another side to it. Politicians have a responsibility to conduct affairs of the state in such a way that generals are not tempted to interfere.
