A committee constituted to count Qing Qi rickshaws in the city will start its work on January 20.
The exercise is meant to help reorganise the operation of these vehicles on city roads.
The committee will be headed by MNA Mehr Ishtiaq.
The decision was taken at a meeting to review records of motorcycle rickshaws at the office of the Lahore Transport Company.
LTC Chief Operating Officer Omer Pirzada said camps for census would be setup at various locations in RA Bazaar Bus Stand, Cricket Stadium at Liaqat Chowk, Vegetable Market at Kot Lakhpat, Sunday Bazaar at Shalimar Chowk, Manawan Mandi Jallo Mor, Service Road at Bhati Chowk and Sunday Bazaar at Wahdat Road.
The statement said the data will help the LTC determine how many such vehicles were plying the road and how many people were riding them.
