In addition to BZU, three universities in India and two each in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam will participate in the programme. It was decided in the conference that the Commonwealth headquarters will be asked to help the member universities get access to all online programmes of MIT. The programme will be called the ‘open education resource’ (OER) and the universities will be able to make changes to the online modules according to their needs. The CEMCA director, Dr. Sanjay Mishra, said that OER courses will be offered free of charge.
