MA Jinnah Road to be closed tomorrow for Eid Miladun Nabi

Pillion riding remains banned in various cities.

KARACHI: MA Jinnah Road in Karachi will be closed on Tuesday for  Eid Miladun Nabi processions, Express News reported. 

In Peshawar and Rawalpindi pillion riding will be banned tomorrow and in Dera Ismail Khan motorcycle riding will be banned altogether.

Earlier, the government had announced that pillion riding would be banned from January 10 to 15 in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Larkana.

All private and public schools will also remain closed tomorrow.

Mobile phone services may also be closed tomorrow.

Security arrangements

In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, More than 6,000 personnel from the police and other law enforcement agencies will provide security to Eid Miladun Nabi processions on Tuesday.

According to the security plan, no commercial vehicles such as trucks or trailers would be allowed on the main procession routes and side streets and crossroads along the routes would be sealed with barbed wire. No one will be allowed to set up ‘sabeels’ along the procession routes without prior approval from the district administration, the police said

@Turab Ali: yes thats exactly my point !!! they r the owners of their piece so should not be concerned over whats happening on others' ... also the road in discussion belongs to state who have issued permits for such activities ...
