ISLAMABAD: A day after finding the body of a 35-year-old woman in rural Islamabad, the police remained as clueless as a camel in the Arctic. On Sunday, officers at the Koral Police Station said there was no progress in the investigations about the homicide. According to police, the woman’s family has not nominated any suspects in the case they registered at the station. The woman, Suraiya Kausar, was a widow with three children, the police said. She lived in the Khadray Par area near Tramri, and her body was found near the main Khadray Par road around 5pm on Saturday. She had been fatally shot in the head, police said. The bullet wound was the only injury the woman had suffered. The police said the body was taken for postmortem to Polyclinic Hospital, but the report has not been received yet.
