Bar elections: Office-bearers elected for Islamabad, Rawalpindi

According to poll results, Raja Nasir bagged 1,039 votes against his opponent Malik Sadiq, who secured 551 votes.

Raja Nasir and Naseer Ahmed Kayani were elected presidents of the Rawalpindi District Bar Association (RDBA) and the Islamabad Bar respectively on Saturday.


According to poll results, Raja Nasir bagged 1,039 votes against his opponent Malik Sadiq, who secured 551 votes.

Naseer Kayani won by bagging 1,057 votes against his opponent Shamsheer Tariq Ali, who bagged 350 votes as candidate for the slot of president Islamabad Bar.

Khawaja Arif was elected RDBA vice president after he got 905 votes against his opponent Sheikh Tanvir, who bagged 597 votes.

Junaid Akhtar was elected RDBA general secretary who clinched 650 votes against his opponent Zahid Raza, who bagged 504 votes.

Advocate Naeem Gujjar was elected the Islamabad Bar general secretary, who got 887 votes against his opponent Babar Saeed Butt, who bagged 538 votes.
