CHARSADDA: Members of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF), the youth wing of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, protested against gas and power outages, drone strikes, and Nato supply lines in Tangi tehsil of Charsadda on Saturday. ISF activists of Tangi Degree College protested at Tangi Chowk and blocked the main road for traffic, reportedly forcing some schools to shut down and direct their students to take part in the protest. The protesters chanted slogans against authorities over prolonged gas and power outages, and also raised slogans against US drone strikes and Nato supply lines. ISF leaders said prolonged power outages had toppled their study schedule with exams just around the corner. They also lashed out at the attitude of the tehsil’s Wapda officials. They demanded a cessation of drone strikes and appealed to the federal government to halt Nato supplies across the country.
