Murder: Man awarded death sentence

SARGODHA: Additional District and Sessions Judge Saeedullah Mughal on Friday awarded death sentence to a man convicted of murder. According to the prosecution, Sajid Iqbal Kharal and his accomplices, Ilyas Sajid, Ashfaq Ahmed, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Wajid Iqbal, were arrested for murdering Sarfaraz Tarrar in Chak 6NB over a property dispute. Judge Saeedullah Mughal awarded death sentence to Sajid Iqbal and fined him Rs300,000. The court acquitted his accomplices Sajid, Ahmed and Ishtiaq Ahmed. The judge declared Iqbal a proclaimed offender.
