While speaking at the occasion, Shaukatullah said the project was a Rs4 billion partnership between the United States and K-P and the road is a major artery of the city. He thanked the ambassador and the American people for their support and cooperation to boost the economy.

Olson, while mentioning the project’s salient features, said 60% cost of the development of more than 18 kilometres of Ring Road was borne by the US while the rest was covered by the provincial government. The project, he said, will not only facilitate heavy traffic but also provide job opportunities to locals.
