KOHISTAN: The court of district and sessions judge Kohistan on Thursday summed up a triple murder case as lawyers from both sides completed their arguments. The court fixed January 29 as the date for announcing its verdict. Three brothers Shah Faisal, Sher Wali and Rafiud Din were gunned down on January 3 last year in a village in Gadaar tehsil, Palas of Kohistan. According to the FIR, eight accused were charged for opening fire at the deceased while four others were nominated for aiding the accused. According to the FIR, the incident was a result of a video where four women from Azadkhel tribe were shown singing when two boys from Salehkhel tribe were dancing at a wedding ceremony. Since mixing of women with men of other tribes was prohibited in the Kohistani tribal culture, a jirga tribe had condemned the two boys and five women to death.
