Cricket: Pakistan face Ireland in opener

Pakistan will meet Ireland in the opening game of the Triangular One-Day International (ODI) Tournament at the West End Part Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Friday. South Africa is the third team taking part in the event which is being hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board.


The Pakistan squad underwent a two-week training camp for their preparations for the two tournaments in Doha, which have been dubbed as important competitions ahead of the World Twenty20.


The final of the ODI event will be played on January 17 and will be followed by the Triangular Twenty20 series which are scheduled to start from January 19.
