FAISALABAD:
District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal on Wednesday told the media that Rs708 million was being spent on the reconstruction of six major roads in the city. The DCO was examining the repair and maintenance of Chenab Chowk on Jhang Road. He said the district government would reconstruct and repair the monuments erected on chowks throughout the city. He said that Jail Road, Jhang Road, Fazal Hussain Road, Rasalaywala Road, Susan Road and the dual-carriage Jhumra Road were being reconstructed. He said a project to construct a 26-kilometre dual carriage way from Gatwala to Sahianwala interchange had also been proposed. It would help reduce traffic on the Sargodha Road interchange, he said.
