Foreign holdings: ‘Bring your assets to Pakistan’

Pir Imran Ali Shah, the petitioner, said as many as 60 politicians had around $30,000 million in other countries.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has been requested, through a writ petition, to issue directions to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shabaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilwal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to bring all their assets to the Pakistan. Pir Imran Ali Shah, the petitioner, said as many as 60 politicians had around $30,000 million in other countries. He requested the court to issue directions to these politicians to bring their assets to Pakistan. He also requested the court to direct the respondents to submit affidavits that they were not involved in money laundering.
