Round-up: Red carpet Girls night out!

Hit comedy series Girls' leading ladies look stunning on the red carpet.

January 08, 2014

“They’re hot, they’re trendy and they’re keeping it real,” said Lena Dunham on stage at the premiere of the third season of hit comedy series Girls, and she was spot on! These ladies have become well-versed in red carpet glam and with good timing; the show is nominated for two Golden Globe Awards this year and will be hitting the airwaves again real soon.

The party for the premiere of the new season of the show stayed true to NYC chic — stunning decor, cocktails and some of the biggest names from television were on the scene.

Despite the fact that the actors were out of character, the smouldering divas of the half-hour comedy upheld their signature styles, offering unusual yet refined looks for every fashionistas sartorial pleasure.

Zosia Mamet

Zosia Mamet, who plays the overly anxious Shoshanna Shapiro on the show, walked the red carpet in a structured LBD, shoes from Saint Laurent and a bold gold-foiled manicure. Even though Mamet went with basic black for her red carpet look, the chic cocktail dress with a v-neck cut and cap sleeves was given a boost by solid gold cuffs on both arms. The gold stiletto pumps gave her little black dress a fancy finish.

Jemima Kirke

Jemima Kirke, who plays the role of the free-spirited Jessa Johansson, chose a one-of-a-kind, light pink vintage ivory, satin gown designed by her mother Lorraine Kirke, for her label Geminola. The Lulu Frost jewellery, loose bun, red lips and manicure added a modern touch to what was an otherwise old school look.

Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham, writer and lead actor of Girls, and the host of this glamorous night out, showed off her tattoo in a glittering ankle-length Rochas gown paired with Jimmy Choo stilettos and gave off sparkly princess vibes. Dunham’s smoky eyes and slick hairstyle suited her well and even though her outfit isn’t the most flattering of dresses, it’s one of the best outfit choices we’ve seen on her thus far.

Nicky Hilton

Nicky Hilton, one of the guests at the premiere, wore a sparkling red lace and rhinestone mini dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2013 collection. Nicky is known for her trendy sense of style and she looked absolutely stunning as she walked the red carpet in this red embellished lace dress styled with a customised Judith Leiber clutch and black satin pumps.

Allison Williams

Allison played up her classic American sweetheart look by putting together a head-to-toe Dior look from the label’s Spring 2014 collection. Her retro-inspired pale blue silk satin cocktail dress with an embellished bodice and full skirt was a demure look, which she topped off with jewellery and a pair of pink satin pumps with pointed toes, also by Dior. The ever-so-chic actor wore her hair sleeked back and a nude pink lip colour, which showed off her flawless skin. Allison is proving to be a fashion darling after appearing on the covers of Elle and Glamour Spain recently.
