Administrative Checks : Under-training civil officers visit UHS

A 14-member delegation from Civil Services Academy Lahore, comprising probationary officers of the 41st common training programme visited the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Monday. The delegation was led by Administration and Coordination Additional Director Idrees Khalid. UHS Medical Education Director Prof IA Naveed and Examinations Controller Saqib Mehmood were also present. Naveed said civil servants must be able to take timely and fair decisions in the interest of the public. Briefing the delegation on various functions of the university, Naveed said the UHS was focusing on innovation in research. He said the university wanted to deliver quality education in basic medical sciences, revitalising neglected fields in allied health sciences. He said it had started courses in genetics and behavioural sciences, and was fostering significant on-campus and off-campus research activities. Later, the members of the delegation visited the Examinations Department of the university where they were apprised of various processes in the evaluation system.
