He added that the Federal Board of Revenue has been directed to issue national tax numbers to all the parliamentarians by the end January.
Dar assured that all parliamentarians are paying tax as it is deducted from their salaries directly. He said the tax details of all the Parliamentarians were also collected by the Election Commission of Pakistan at the time of the elections.

I think shifting State Bank to Islamabad will bring more coordination with other important institutions of the country and, hence, will be good for the overall economy.
He is going to come up with the tax being paid on the salaries paid for being a so called parliamentarians and not of the businesses they are doing.
@Zeshan: The party put their tax records from as far back as 2008 online. The '5000' tax is as much as a myth as Pakistan winning 1971.
Dar is an accountant and his actions to date strongly suggest that he is a master of number juggling. Economies of the countries are managed by Economists, not accountants who only know how to balance books especially the cooked up one. He is the person responsible for weakening of Rupee against Dollar may it be 1998 (after atomic blasts and placing restrictions on forex) or 2008 (making statements as Minister of Finance of Gillani Government about fudged up financial numbers by Musharraf's Government resulting in sharp decline in parity). Now he has managed to drag rupee to all time low and benefitting his Shareef Master. The Minister is now bragging about thieves in the parliaments paying taxes on payments received as parliamentarians by virtue of deduction of withholding tax, which is automatic procedure of the governments. The fact that need to be presented by this accountant turned minister is to list tax paid by these thieves before they became members and also paid taxes from their businesses that they run even when they are in parliament. Thugs will remain thugs no matter what. Unfortunate for Pakistan indeed.
Have you solved the issues of KPK? Are all problems resolved in KPK? After resolving all the provincial matters, he is giving attention to national issues now.
Will he be telling true taxes paid by a billionaire "Mr. NAWAZ SHAREEF"
"to issue national tax numbers to all the parliamentarians by the end January." according to Dar. First of all where were these people all these years and never got tax numbers and paid their fair share of taxes, they should be in jail instead of NA and PAs. He also assured us that "all parliamentarians are paying tax as it is deducted from their salaries directly." I got a news for you Mr.Dar, it is not the deductions we are concerned with but their wealth worth millions which they are not paying any taxes, because they are the elite and could get away with it. In civilize countries people declare their assests and other incomes beside tax deduction from their salaries to pay fair share of taxes other wise they wind up in jail. My suggestion to average tax payers to get together and refuse to pay any taxes till the upper income people pay their fair share of taxes but I would not hold my breath for this conservative government to levy any income tax increase on the rich and mighty. One should look at the declaration of their assests abraod and how they declared erroneoous assesed property values and they never paid any taxes on it to the Pakistan's treaxury because they are Pakistani citizens, I can't say that about Mr.Nisar's wife assests in the US.
In Pakistan, people are rich but government is poor and no one like to pay his/her fair share of taxes. It will be beneficial to see assets as well so that if someone identify hidden assets' of an individual then he/she must be rewarded according to what he/she help government collect. This government must do more so that everyone pays his/her fair share of taxes.
I want a explanation first, how did Nawaz Sharif go from paying Rs5000 tax 2 years ago and now paying millions in tax this year? How did he get a 6x increase in his assets in last 12 months?
