Family dispute: Man commits suicide

A case has also been registered and investigations are underway.

RAWALPINDI: A man committed suicide after a minor fight with his wife over a domestic issue in the jurisdiction of Waris Khan Police Station. Muhammad Asghar, 36, a resident of the Bhabra Bazaar area, committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan after his wife refused to stop using her cell phone according to a police official who added that Asghar suspected his wife was having an affair and despite his insistence, she did not stop using her phone. On Saturday night, after he found her talking on the phone again, he went into a room where he hanged himself from the ceiling fan after locking it from inside. After receiving the information, police rushed to the house and took the body into custody for legal formalities. A case has also been registered and investigations are underway.
