In remembrance: Workers celebrate Bhutto’s birthday

PPP Swabi District President Javed Iqbal says leaders like Bhutto are born once in a century.

PESHAWAR: Members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) observed the 85th birth anniversary of the party’s founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto throughout Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and paid tributes to their leader. Peoples Students Federation, the party’s student wing, held a ceremony where activists cut a cake. Party leaders present at the occasion made speeches, saying Bhutto was a true democrat and it was his sacrifices that made Pakistan an atomic country. The party’s Peshawar president Arshad Bacha said PPP will sweep the local government elections. In Swabi, party members held a public gathering where local leaders and activists termed Bhutto’s sacrifices as priceless. PPP Swabi District President Javed Iqbal said leaders like Bhutto are born once in a century.
