PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Shireen Mazari held a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday to present PTI's stance on the issue.
According to a statement issued after the conference, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that "the government is in a dilemma over the treason trial of former president Pervez Musharraf and several covert factors are at work behind the issue, but we don't want to get entangled in hearsay and demand an immediate clarification from the government."
Qureshi said Musharraf's departure from the country was also clouded with doubts and rumours, but as far as the former dictator's health was concerned, the country has no shortage of skilled physicians itself.
The party also sought further clarification from MQM chief Altaf Hussain over his remarks about a "separate province for Urdu-speaking Sindhis", besides condemning the murder of ASWJ leader and any kind of sectarian violence in general.
The PTI leader further remarked that MQM's claim of representing the poor was absurd, coming from a party which has always ruled over the Sindhi people.
He rejected the idea of partition in Sindh, saying that NFC award had increased the share of resources considerably for every province, so claims of inequitable division of resources was not understandable.

@KAlam: PTI and insafians' silence over the unjust ways of government and judiciary, pretty much tells that their "Naya Pakistan" is nothing more than a lip praying service. They support selective justice, not complete justice. I am disappointed in PTI.
What business PTI has with Musharraf? Can't they just simply focus on "Naya Pakistan"?
After his initial demand in April 2013 for Musharraf's trial under article-6, PTI's Hamid Khan has gone into hibernation. If Ibrahim Satti and Akram Sheikh can volunteer to argue in the Court of Law without any legal fee, why can't Hamid Khan do that? Was the entire rant against Musharraf only an election gimmick (which Hamid Khan has already lost in May 2013) or is it because Mr Khan has the habit of moving nothing without his fee?
If MQM is not in power at both provincial and federal level then they are the victims. Of course being regional urban elite they never got majority in Sindh let alone in the country. They can never have their CJ let alone PM by elections so they have always supported from their pioneer Gan Zia to Gen Mush. Even today they are upset at Mush's treason trial.
I think PTI, a party which demands justice for all, should ask the government and activist judges to not cross the limits and demand that justice is visible.......there must be no personal vendetta either by the judges or government.
And What is PTIs stance towards Musharraf?
Shah Mahmood Qureshi should only speak on the issues that he has some understanding about. I am no supporter of MQM but the demand for a separate province for the urban areas of the Sindh is justified. Feudals from the rural areas of Sindh have been treating Karachi and Hyderabad as their colony and the people of urban Sindh are treated as second class citizens. All the resources of these cities are being plundered by PPP and these feudals. Local governments have not been allowed by these looters since 2008 and these cities have been turned into wastelands. PTI would do well to sympathize less with the Taliban bombers and more with the common man of Pakistan.
@ahmed ali:
Try something else......He means to say that MQM has always been in ruling coalition in provincial and federal government, not to forget the present Governor of Sindh who's from MQM. Plus you call PTI prejudiced, Then What about Arif Alvi and Justice Retired Wajihuddin Ahmed of PTI ? This is what MQM has been doing for all these years, tampering with facts and brainwashing Urdu Speakings.
