Speaking in Hyderabad about the Youth Loan Business Scheme, the premier claimed the process of loan approval was free of nepotism. He added that “even my own recommendations will not influence the selection process of this scheme,” garnering applause from the audience.
Some children are not able to get an education because of a lack of resources, Nawaz said, adding that “the biggest obligation to facilitate [these children] lies with the government, but society should help as well.”
Addressing the scheme’s applicants, Nawaz said “I want your futures to be given back to you.” He said he wanted to speak to the applicants and learn more about them and what they plan to do with the loans.
Justifying the new loan scheme, Nawaz said banks offer loans to "baray log" but the poor and needy are not given such options.
The scheme
Nawaz said those selected for this scheme will be expected to return the loan in eight years. The first year will be a grace period in which they will not need to return anything, he stated.
The scheme will not only benefit those who receive it, it will also increase available jobs and perhaps increase exports from Pakistan, the premier added.
"I hope to see the positive impact of this scheme in a year’s time," Nawaz said.

Does the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif know the meaning of the word nepotism? Somebody needs to tell him that in order to rid the country of this sickness, he must first sack his brother the C.M. of Punjab, followed by his various relatives, nephews and his own daughter including a large number of his cronies that he has appointed since his election.
The sad part it no one had a courage to challenge the PM on his blatant lies instead they applauded at his claim.
I am sure that Pakistan will progress. PTI should also support the federal government to resolve national issues.
And let me add as well my dear countrymen Mariam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, Ishaq Dar, Hamza Shahbaz, Mian Mansha, Abid Sher Ali and my and my wife's various nephews and nieces are all competent and deserve their current appointments.

Daughter is chairperson of Youth loan scheme. He is the man who even do not want to conduct local body election because he wants to keep entire power with him. He must be kidding with people of Pakistan .
The PM himself is the product of nepotism how can a person become PM with serious cases of corruption and money laundering? Why he did not think this while appointing Maryam Sharif as the chairperson of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. He has also conferred top slots to his relatives. If you see the list of ministries you will find all the key ministries are held by Shari and co.
So the man who spends most of his time distributing key posts among his family and keeps his kitchen cabinet restricted to mostly individuals of Kashmiri descent is talking about ending culture of nepotism. See how he has distributed key posts among his family members and today he is talking about ending nepotism. He himself is the torch bearer of nepotism in Pakistan.
It would seem that Pakistan is infected with the same virus of Nepotism which is on the loose in the German republic as well. The new Government manifesto for the year 2014 aims to combat it. Strange that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is publicly condemning it as well. What a coincidence?

He suspends the Nadra chief, receives Turkey's PM in Lahore instead of the Capital (personal as opposed to national relations...) and launches a Youth Loan Scheme for the 'poor' who can find a rich guarantor (who'd pledge his property for collateral - even though s/he is not comfortable lending to this friend in need him/her-self), and makes his dear daughter the in-charge of this project.
To seal his asininity, he tells the 180 million seeming-goofs he rules that "Pakistan's culture of nepotism must end." Enough said.

Well !!!!!!! Sharif Sahib....... Baran log are used to taking up billions (not thousands) of rupees loan and transfer some to UK / Saudia and some in Pakistan Bank account. Than Baray log will get elected to parliament (using some of the loaned money) and pass bills to forgive their loans (calling it bad loan or failed investments).
