The lists were exchanged under Article-II of the December 1988 Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities and the Agreement on Consular Access signed on May 21, 2008 between Pakistan and India. Under the agreements, the two countries are required to exchange lists of their respective nuclear installations and facilities and prisoners.
Accordingly, a list of requisite facilities in Pakistan was officially handed over to a representative of the Indian High Commission at the Foreign Office on Wednesday.
The Indian side also handed over its list to the Pakistan High Commission by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
Similarly, the biannual exchange of the list of prisoners was conducted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a list of 281 Indian prisoners (49 civilian and 232 fishermen) in Pakistan to the High Commission of India in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs also handed over the list of Pakistani prisoners currently in Indian jails.
According to this list, there are a total of 396 Pakistanis in Indian jails (257 civilian and 139 fishermen).

Its kinda scary how many naive people in India and Pakistan even think of nuclear confrontations. These toys are made to sit in silo and better never detonate. The ones who pushes the button usually survives it is the innocent people who burn and dies. Imagine the irony that we would like to kill each other and die doing so compare to living together in harmony. Even the mere blackmailing for using nukes only exposes further the immature thinking of the leaders. Peace.
@BruteForce: No sane or mad man will ever push the button. In this centuray,at least, no use of nuclear.
@Moiz Omar: Its about no 'first attack' or no attack 'nuclear installation'. Exchange of the lists did mean they can inspect....by they way who knows both sides are exchanging real infomration.States always cheat. Its international theory and fact also
@rasgullah: These are just protocol formalities as India's high tech satellite surveillance system focused on Pakistan has all nuclear and sensitive installations on its radar.
@rasgullah: whatever floats your boat, troll on!
India should get this info directly from China. If its truely Pakistani made, then Indians need not worry as it won't work.
I hope Pakistan is sharing Indian info with China for cross-checking and for co-ordination. If and when the stuff hits the fan, we would know which buttons to push.
Nuclear installations?! WHAT?! You don't tell any country about that! Isn't that a security threat?
Fisher men are innocent people they should be released as soon as possible. They do not have knowledge and unsderstanding about Sir Creek isssue.
