Unemployment: Father of two commits suicide

Police says *Ahmad, a resident of Gulshan Colony, a father of two children, had been unemployed.

GUJRANWALA: A man committed suicide by taking poison in Gujranwala on Saturday. Police said *Ahmad, a resident of Gulshan Colony, a father of two children, had been unemployed. On Saturday, police said he took pills kept in wheat fields to protect them from pests. He was taken to Civil Hospital where he died. In a separate incident, a 32-year-old woman resident of Chicharwali, attempted suicide by taking pesticide. Police said the woman had an argument with her husband. She was taken to Civil Hospital where her condition was later reported to be out of danger. In yet another incident, a woman attempted suicide by consuming acid in Daska. Police said the resident of Rehan Cheema village had had an argument with her family on Saturday. She was taken to a hospital where her condition was later reported to be critical.
