Opting to bat first, Karachi accumulated 261 for nine in 45 overs, with Zaman hitting nine boundaries and three sixes for his knock and Naveed Khan supporting him with his 41-ball 39. Waqas Ahmed, Faisal Rasheed and Salman Ali bagged two wickets each.
On the other hand, Mansoor Amjad’s 93 off 68 balls went in vain as Sialkot were dismissed for 237 runs in 42.2 overs. Amjad’s strike was laced with six boundaries and five sixes while Israr Ali scored the second-highest runs (44) for the visitors. Mohammad Ali took three wickets for 32 runs whereas Ali Mudassar and Faraz Ahmed picked up two scalps.
Karachi Zebras will now face Karachi Dolphins on Sunday for a place in the final, while Saturday’s semi-final will see Lahore Lions in action against Peshawar Panthers.
