He was addressing a mammoth rally in Garhi Khuda Bux that had gathered to commemorate his mother, Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary.
Applauding the public for strengthening democracy in the May 11 elections, Bilawal said people took revenge of his mother’s assassination by siding with democratic forces.
“We all should congratulate former president Zardari, who had spent 11 years in jail in support of democracy,” he stressed.
Commenting on PPP’s performance in the general elections, Bilawal said certain elements in establishment and judiciary didn’t want PPP to come to power.
He went on to assure Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that PPP will stand by him if anyone tries to derail the democratic process.
An almost frenetic Bilawal said “all of Benazir’s children will come into politics by the next elections.”
Terrorism
Bilawal said if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif fights terrorists, PPP will be the first party to support him.
Lashing out at Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Bilawal said the terrorist outfit killed Benazir and many other innocent people.
He criticised TTP’s war against non-Muslims and said Islam teaches respect for all religions.
Rejecting the link between growing extremism and drone strikes, Bilawal said Pakistan was a victim of terrorism before drone campaign started and that terrorist attacks will continue even if the campaign ends. He did however express confidence in the Pakistan Army’s eventual victory over the terrorists.
With a few “mein bhaagi hun” chants and slogans chock-full of bravado, Bilawal wrapped up his speech, telling his jiyalas he was not afraid of death.
Zardari's statements
Former president Asif Ali Zardari also took the podium at Garhi Khuda Bux after Bilawal completed his speech.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif cannot work alone,” Zardari stated, adding that that the general public as well as the political parties need to stand united.
“We will support the government and we will support democracy,” Zardari added.
The former president also spoke about how power is unpredictable in Pakistan as it can fluctuate and there is no political certainty.
In his speech Zardari also emphasised that the main problem in Pakistan, across all the provinces, is poverty, which in turn has led to the rise of Talibanisation in the country.

@Roni: not to worry, they'll stay nice and safe within the confines of acres of encroached public land around Bilawal House.

@ Red Dawn @ un255001 Probably the people like you were away from Pakistan during the last 05 years of PPP rule (or misrule), that was thrusted upon Pakistanis as a Deal under NRO. http://tribune.com.pk/story/381762/the-ppp-and-its-victim-cards/ ET, had very rightly published the Victimhood Card of PPP during the later half of rule (misrule).
@jiyala I think he has his own mind as well.
I wish you good luck in your life Bilawal, but you are not good to lead a party or to be PM of a country, sorry truth sounds bad to you maybe but this is the truth.
Don't get mad on Bilawal. He's just saying what his daddy is telling him to say.
I feel Pakistan is divided into two parts the Conservative North and the Liberal South. Compared to North Pakistan which is conservative the South Pakistan is bit Liberal. Conservative North has Deobandis & Whabbis and Secular South has Sufis & Shias. North wants Kalifath Pakistan and South wants Secular Pakistan. North uses Conservative Islam to do politics and South uses Liberal Islam to do politics. North has Punjabis,Pastoons Kashmiris and South has Sindhis,Balouchis both the north and south want to rule Pakistan, Punjabis are represented by Nawaz Sharif(PMLN) and South by Asif Ali Zardari(PPP).Pashtoons/Kashmiris used to support the PML(N) but presently Pashtoons have their own party PTI/JI/JU(F). PPP supporters are Shias, Barelvis, Ahmedis, Christians and Hindus PML(N)/PTI/JI/JU(F) supporters Deobandis and Wahabis. Finally all want to rule using different strategies and with their different vote banks, but little it makes difference to the poor man on the streets of Pakistan. Hope someone does politics beyond religion, ethinicity and sects and make the lives of the poor people better and worthwhile for living.
Wow a great speech. Nice show by PPP. Ten times bigger than pseudozunani of PTI. Jiey Bhutto :-)
Good, start looting the country, your father has done it enough and why don't you just live in London or New York with all that looted money. I don't think Pakistanis needs you or your family any more. DOWN WITH DYNASTIC POLITICS, PARTY AND PEOPLE.
When you drink water from village water tap, I will start taking you seriously.
Even his own name is a fake. He is not a bhutto
"...All the children will come into politics" ..very true statement. Because politics is where they excel...graft,..land grabbing,..corruption, selling national assets,..plain thugs,..having people in bondage over vast lands,..transferring IMF loans to personal accounts. Bloodsucking parasites. $2.8 billion and growing.
