Reassurance: Water tankers association delays strike
Strike postponed till Wednesday.
KARACHI:
The Water Tanker Association (WTA) postponed their strike till today after district East deputy commissioner Samiuddin Siddiqui assured them that their complaints will be addressed on an immediate basis. Addressing a press conference at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation complex on Monday, Siddiqui claimed that a request has already been sent to local government minister Sharjeel Memon to address WTA’s complaints. “We demand that the water board immediately reopens the eight legal hydrants which were sealed during the crackdown against illegal water hydrants,” said WTA general secretary Hazzor Ahmed.
