Bilawal — Pakistan’s last hope

Letter December 23, 2013
I appreciate young leadership of PPP for taking this landmark initiative, especially Bilawal, Bakhtawar and Aseefa.

KARACHI: The Sindh Cultural Festival launched by PPP patron Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will showcase the best that the province has to offer. It will not only help promote tourism in Pakistan but will also send a message of peace and love to the international community. This is the first time in the history of Pakistan that any political party is going to host and organise such a festival to promote culture and protect the heritage of its land.

I appreciate the young leadership of the PPP for taking this landmark initiative, especially Bilawal, Bakhtawar and Aseefa. I am very optimistic that they will convert the current state of the country, which only seems to be concerned with banning entertainment, into a colourful, peaceful, dynamic, true democratic and liberal Pakistan.

Since the rise of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the stage of Pakistan’s politics, we, the youth, are not being misled into non-issues; we are not being pushed into the useless politics of dharnas and we do not — like activists of some other parties — use abusive language for our opponents.

Bilawal, you are a truly proud son of Pakistan and we are really proud of you. You are Pakistan’s last hope.

Dr Saifur Rehman
