Four alleged terrorists arrested in Lahore

The suspects allegedly wanted to target the Chehlum procession scheduled to take place in Lahore.

LAHORE: Law enforcement authorities on Friday arrested four suspected terrorists in Lahore, and recovered large quantity of explosives from their possession, Express News reported.

The alleged terrorists were reportedly carrying 200 explosive devices, 20 detonators, pistols and remote control devices.

The CIA police reported that the four suspects intended to target the Chehlum procession scheduled to take place on December 24 in Lahore.

Following the Rawalpindi blast that targeted the Imambargah Isna Ashra, security has been put on high alert.

Identities of the suspects have not been revealed as yet.

Two suspects arrested in a custom raid

Custom police have seized a container and arrested two suspects near Kalar Kahar, Express News reported.

According to details custom police had intercepted a container allegedly carrying smuggled material near Salt range in Kalar Kahar area.

Two suspects have also been arrested.
