
Despite a difficult time when the two last worked together, the Chairman insists he would not block the Spanish driver’s return.
“Whatever obstacles sit between a team wanting to win and winning, be it engineering, fiscal or human issues, you resolve them, you never say never,” the BBC Sport quoted Dennis.
Alonso drove for McLaren in 2007 but left at the end of the year following a spat with Dennis.
As rumours circulated of Alonso’s return, he defended his current agreement saying he will continue to work for Ferrari till his contract expires in 2016. Dennis has agreed to honour the commitment as “it will boost McLaren’s competitiveness”.
