FAISALABAD: Tandlianwala police on Sunday arrested 11 men on charges of gunfight and creating panic among people in Rail Bazaar. Police said the Nadeem Wattoo group and the Butt group had had a rivalry. On Sunday, men from both sides shot at each other. Shopkeepers closed their shops as people fled for their lives. The exchange of fire continued for over half-an-hour. The men left. No one was injured. Shopkeepers later staged a protest demonstration against the police for not checking people who roamed around armed, creating panic among people. The protesters burned tyres and shouted slogans against the police. They later dispersed after they were informed that police had arrested 11 men from both groups.
