Pot calling the kettle black

Letter December 14, 2013
The purpose of a government is to govern, not destroy, which the PPP did so wonderfully during its tenure.

KARACHI: This is with reference to the article by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari “Personalisation under the guise of privatisation” (December 12). The writer has criticised the present government’s approach towards privatisation. If the PPP had better managed (or managed at all) public sector companies like the Pakistan Railways, PIA, the Pakistan Steel Mills and Wapda, there would not have been a need to take huge decision like their privatisation.

The purpose of a government is to govern, not destroy, which the PPP did so wonderfully during its tenure. The party’s leader still has the nerve to criticise the sitting government when it is still in its first few months of power.
