Earlier, Wapda had declared at 475 for seven, with Adnan Raees leading the charge with 154 runs knock which included 18 boundaries. Riffatullah (81), Aamer Sajjad (61), Ayaz Tasawar (69*) and Asif Ali (47) chipped in to post to a massive score in the first innings.
PTV’s Mohammad Ali took four for 77, while Mohammad Abbas ended with two for 85.
Meanwhile, ZTBL batting collapsed in the second innings leaving them at an abject 104 for seven at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad.
United Bank’s Tariq Haroon led the attack taking four for 46, ably supported by Atif Maqbool who ended the day with three for 25.
ZTBL was unable to muster any sizeable partnership as Yasir Hameed (20), Shahid Yousuf (22), Haseeb-ur-Rehman (30) and Imran Nazir (24) departed without making an impact.
In the first innings, United Bank were all out at 233, Saeed Bin Nasir scored 97. Imran Khan was the chief destroyer, taking nine wickets in his 19.1 overs while giving away only 69 runs.
Niazi bags four as SBP batting collapses
Samiullah Niazi led SNGPL’s bowling effort as State Bank were restricted to 124 for seven at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Niazi took four wickets giving away only 22 runs, while State Bank’s Rameez Alam was the only one to put up a decent fight, remaining unbeaten on 45. Batting first SNGPL had declared at 403 for nine in 112 overs.
Azhar Ali scored 104 runs off 197 balls, which included 12 strikes to the fence while Yasir Shah remained not out on 65, hitting five boundaries and two sixes.
Tabsih Khan was the most effective bowler, taking five wickets for 132 runs as Rizwan Haider chipped in with three scalps.
In other matches, Habib Bank’s pace bowler Umar Gul continued his fine form as he took three wickets for 12 runs to restrict PQA to 61 for five in the second innings at the Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot.
Meanwhile, National Bank were 82 for four in the second innings after KRL had scored 272 at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
