A consultative workshop was held on Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) population policy by the population welfare department on Friday.
Chairing the event, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Population Welfare Shakeel Ahmad said the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has taken bold steps to have its own population policy despite resource constraints and the critical law and order situation. Ahmad said the government considered managed population growth the key to social and economic development. He requested civil society members to fulfill their responsibilities in achieving the objectives of population stabilisation.
