Spirituality: Bahauddin Zakariya urs begins

MULTAN: The 774th urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya started on Monday. The celebrations began with washing of the shrine with rosewater. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Muhammad Aminul Hasnat Shah and caretaker Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Addressing the participants at the first session of the Zakariya conference, the minister said the world always remembered those who served humanity. He said Bahauddin Zakariya had propagated the message of love, peace, hope and unity. Qureshi announced establishing a Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Langar Khana (charity food centre). He urged the district police to vacate the Langar Khana building near the tomb.
