Skiing: Six-man team heads to Turkey

SFP sent the skiers to earn the requisite ISF points in order to qualify for the Winter Olympics in Sochi next year.

The Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) sent a six-member team to Turkey on Monday to participate in the International Ski Federation (ISF) races.


Muhammad Karim will be a part of the squad, while South Asian Winter Games medallists Amina Wali and Ifrah Wali are included in the contingent as well.

The SFP sent the skiers to earn the requisite ISF points in order to qualify for the Winter Olympics in Sochi next year. One male and one female skier will be selected to represent Pakistan in the mega event on the basis of their ISF points. Skier Naik Mir Nawaz will also take part in the event to improve his skills despite having qualified for the Winter Olympics.
