PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Public Health Engineering Workers Welfare Union on Monday asked the provincial government to regularise their jobs.

Speaking to journalists outside Peshawar Press club, the union’s president, Pir Gul Ali Shah, said there have been three types of employment policies in the organisation – regular employees, fixed salary employees and contract employees. The workers have been working in these positions for the past several years, he added.

“The previous government had also issued a notification to regularise employees and entitled them to a pension and other facilities. However, no step has been taken to regularise all workers,” he claimed. Shah was flanked by public health engineering employees.

All provincial workers will protest at Jinnah Park to press the governments to meet our demands, he added.
