Land dispute: Tribesman killed, two others injured

A tribesman was killed and two others were injured in a shoot-out over a dispute in Teddy Bazaar of Jamrud tehsil, Khyber Agency on Saturday morning.


Political administration official from Jamrud, Asmatullah Wazir said the incident occurred at around 9am. He added Majeed Afridi spotted Mujahid Afridi, with whom he had a land dispute, at the bazaar, following which he went home to get a gun. Majeed allegedly shot dead Mujahid, after which the latter’s relative, Adil, opened fire at Majeed, leaving both of them severely injured.

The injured Adil and Mujahid’s body were shifted to Jamrud Civil Hospital while Majeed was referred to Hayatabad Medical Complex in critical condition.

A case has been registered against both injured men.
