IBSF World Championship: Sajjad sails into the semi final

LATVIA: Mohammad Sajjad, the last Pakistani standing, sailed into the semi-final of the ongoing IBSF World Championship in Latvia, Express News reported on Saturday.

He beat Michael Collumb of Scotland 6-0 in the quarter-final.

Background

On December 6, Sajjad had defeated Shachar Ruberg of Israel 5-1 (74-0, 56-22, 47-63, 45-74, 23-101, and 37-63) to move forward into the quarter final.

Pakistani cueist Shahid Aftab had fallen prey to India’s Shahbaz Adil Khan on December 6. Aftab had lost 2-5 to Khan. Khan had beaten former IBSF Champion Mohammad Asif in the previous round on December 5.
