LB Elections: Balochistan all set to hold polls on Dec 7

Sultan Sultan Bayazeed said as many as 7,000 candidates had submitted their nomination papers.

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Secretary Asad Gilani and Provincial Election Commissioner Sultan Bayazeed on Thursday said the provincial government had taken all appropriate measures for the conduct of transparent and peaceful local body election to be held on December 7.

Addressing a joint press conference, they said the process of sending all the relevant material to the polling stations had started and 50,000 security men would perform their duties on the polling stations to ensure peaceful conduct of elections.

The provincial election commissioner Sultan Sultan Bayazeed said as many as 7,000 candidates had submitted their nomination papers and many of them had been elected unopposed in various constituencies.
