DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Anti-Corruption Directorate has initiated action against the education department of DI Khan for the misuse of funds, said Anti-Corruption department Assistant Director Shafiullah on Thursday. He added officials in the district’s education department were accused of embezzling Rs380 million from a World Bank grant for 38 schools in DI Khan. The inquiry was conducted on orders of the K-P chief secretary. A team comprising Shafiullah and Technical Establishment Deputy Director Ahmad Nabi raided 15 schools in Pahar Pur and Parowa tehsils on Thursday. “We are conducting physical and technical inspections of the schools,” said Shafi.
