CHARSADDA: A house was partially damaged when unidentified men threw a grenade inside in Kala Dher, Charsadda on Thursday.

Homeowner Juma Khan filed a case with the police, claiming his rival Sahibzada and his sons Karim and Muhammaday hurled a grenade inside his house early morning. Sahibzada added the explosion panicked his family members.

According to Khan, by the time he woke up the assailants had escaped. The explosion damaged the main gate and boundary wall of Khan’s house.



Police filed a case against the accused and began investigation.

Grenades defused

Meanwhile, in another incident, Amanullah told the Prang police his opponents threw a grenade at his house in Majoki and escaped.

Police official Mir Wali said Amanullah accused Altaf, a resident of Utmanzai, of the crime.

According to Wali, the grenade did not explode, and the police arrived and evacuated the residence. The BDS was called in and the grenade was defused. Wali added a case was filed against the accused.

Furthermore, passers-by in Turangzai spotted a grenade at a roadside and informed Umerzai police. Abdul Qayyum, a policeman, said the BDS arrived at the site and defused the device.
