Pakistan is facing a water shortage and Indian forces are damaging one of the largest sources of water to Pakistan on a regular basis‚ Aziz said.
Presence of Indian forces on Siachen is a big issue and should be resolved as soon as possible, Aziz stated insisting that India should pull out its troops from the glacier.
He further added that disposal of daily use items by thousands of Indian soldiers is detrimental to the glacier.
India and Pakistan are working on resolving their water issues, Aziz stated. The two countries are doing this through multiple channels including Pakistan-India composite dialogue and Indus Water Commission.
Aziz also said that water should be properly used in Pakistan‚ it should be conserved and new water reservoirs should be built. He also said ‘Senate has recently formed a committee to deliberate various dimensions of water related issues and suggest its recommendations.’

@Aschraful Makhlooq: Sorry, but we see no reason to share "Siachen's treasures" with Pakistan. Those treasures, if any, belong to India and Indians should be the ones enjoying it. Please get over this habit of always looking for a free lunch.
@ Rasgulla , well said .
The image of Pakistan as a nature's custodian is well exposed to the entire world . Recently an aroplain took emergency landing on which an Arab came to Baluchistan for hunting the wild life . ?
@Pakistani: Same applies to Pakistan, just because they think something is theirs doesn't make it theirs just like Kashmir or Siachen..
@Manoj: Just because Indians forces have occupied the territory does not make it theirs, just like Kashmir.
Sartaj Aziz should be awarded with a Nobel Prize for his extra-ordinary discovery that Pak troops are environment friendly whereas the Indians pollute the same as both are stationed in the same place.
Mr. Azizi, it appears, is our new Environmental minister.... Wow!
@Albert Faulkner: Well, if the world had as much capability as you think, it would have solved the problem of Af-Pak by now. Since that has not happened, India would advise the "world" to go manage its own problems first.
When did Pakistan become environmentally conscious? Saichen dispute will be settled when Kashmir is settled. Nawaz Sheriff, just remarked y day only about the possibility of a fourth war with India over Kashmir. Looks like the Pakistani politicians and generals have not learned anything from the four previous wars all of which resulted in a defeat for Pakistan (including loss of territory). Saichen occupies strategic heights and Indians will not be vacating it anytime soon and there is not much Pakistan can do about it. Sorry my Pakistani friends, you will have to bear the consequences of your Jihadi war with India. Looks like you will be living under environmentally polluted conditions for a long time to come.
yes sure why not if hunger stricken india is @rahul:
The real reason behind Pakistan's demand is that it is not able to hold on to its side of the border because of the hostile weather and severe landslides leading to many soldiers dying.this happened recently and Pakistan was able to extricate its dead after many months.so the best solution is to bring in the excuse of climate.waste and loss of water. It is after all snow ridden mountain and there is no question of water shortage. The truth is inability and hostile weather to hold to the border.
@Pakistani: Education? coming from a madrasa pass jihadi? Nice joke.
@Pakistani:
There is no conflicts from Indian side.
Indian forces are Indian territory, and Pak has no business to suggest when they should leave or otherwise.
@Pakistani: "I have deep sympathies for your naivety and the history that you seem to think you know" Why dont you demolish the facts stated by @Gp65 instead of accusing one of being ignorant. What is your version of the facts as per your knowledge of history
@Gp65: I have deep sympathies for your naivety and the history that you seem to think you know. As they say “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance".
@Munir: The root cause is that Pakistan made plans to occupy the glacier.India was aware of the Pakistani plan and occupied the glacier first.
Presence of Pakistani and Indian both countries' forces is harmful. Therefore both countries have to withdraw their forces completely and close all their military bases camps from Siachin to secure precious money from wastage and spend on the betterment and welfare projects and tasks on their people and declare whole Siachin a "No-Military-Zone" so that both countries could take full advantage from Siachin treasures........
@polpot: and lending from world bank to fight poverty is totally different!!
http://www.hindustantimes.com/business-news/WorldEconomy/World-Bank-to-lend-India-upto-20-bn-to-fight-poverty/Article1-1043511.aspx
To everyone,if this column in ET is factually correct.....Then Pakistan is destroying their green cover faster than any other Asian country....Ironically for a country which has green in their flag
http://tribune.com.pk/story/641085/pakistan-zindabad/
Less forest cover -> Less rain -> Less water -> More drought....
I hope this Chinese wannabe minister check the effects of losing the forest cover than few Indians sitting on the Siachen glacier..Unless he thinks the presence of pakistani soldiers will somehow stop melting it
@FN:
Now do enlighten us all on how "Islamic civilization" came into existence again!
@Pakistani:
Of course pyarey! you showed the world who's the boss in 1971. And look at India, all it's "talk" created Bangladesh.
"Presence of Indian forces is harmful to Siachen Glacier: Sartaj Aziz" +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The gentleman is about to be shifted to Ministry of Environment. He will certainly do a better job than what he does in the Foreign Ministry. PS; He has also written to Obama that the drones are damaging Pakistans environemnt.
Will it beneficial if Pak troops or chinese troop present
@Crusader: (It is in interest of South Asian region that environment be kept separate with politics and fair assessment be done on pure professional grounds)
Bravo! You have understood the priority perfectly without getting in to jingoistic clap-trap.The region has to learn to separate certain issues from politics even if it appears impossible today..It's rare to come across such practical wisdom among the comments that abound with animosities or boring inanities. Most observations are merely repetitive of known positions & don't go beyond some point-scoring. You have tried to be different & I thank you.
India should GROWUP now!
Pakistan is behaving mature and sensible on the counter no sane voice can be heard across the Himalayas from Indian political leadership
Pakistan should also be careful about the environment degradation as the result of Karakorum Highway build by China in POK,which is more polluting than Indian Soldiers and for that matter Pakistani soldiers in Siachin. Why Pakistan is not unilaterally withdrawing its soldiers from Siachin to help the cause, which Nawaz Shariff suggested at the time of death of hundreds of Pak soldiers in avalanche ..
@Rex Minor: What you couldn't do for the past 800 years can't be done now or ever.
@Albert Faulkner: Where did you steal that name?
Ultimate Joke...... Even an ecologist will not be able to stop his laugh after hearing this man.
"India and Pakistan are not fighting each other in Siachen, they are both fighting the glacier, and nature takes its revenge by killing soldiers," It is about an environmental disaster and nothing else.
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hE9s7WhGuoM4O4uK699zbPykdl6w?docId=CNG.4943cd1770a58779793fec47957b422e.2a1
It is in interest of South Asian region that environment be kept separate with politics and fair assessment be done on pure professional grounds and measure be taken to avoid major environmental disaster for the whole region as these glaciers are water towers and all the subcontinent gets year round water supply from these glacial sources. Flooding or drought, long terms implications are torturous for the whole region.
Glaciers are receding fast because of Global Warming and Climate Change. All the scientific data proves that lot of glaciers are melting at a pace never seen in history and there are implications associated with these phenomena.
But there is one glacier that is receding abnormally fast and not because of Climate Change but receding due to the adverse affects of activities by Indian military forces. The famous Siachen glacier is melting at an unprecedented speed because of the presence of troops and establishment of permanent cantonment. Even glacial ice is cut and melted deliberately to facilitate troop’s movement. Cutting and melting of glacial ice by the use of chemicals has made it fastest melting glacier. Then there are other factors in Siachen that have sped up the process including dumping of chemicals, metals, organic and human waste and also through leakages out of the 250 KM pipeline that was laid out by India throughout the glacier for fast transportation of fuel. The pipeline is made up of plastic and there are lot of uncontrollable leakages in between. Kerosene keep seeping throughout the trajectory of plastic pipeline which make glacier even more susceptible to recession.
@polpot: Dr Singh has a point! His political life will end vedry shortly. No one has the Time Machine to control, it has its time and own speed.
Rex Minor
Presence of Sartaj Aziz in Siachen Glacier might not be harmful !
@Someone - Balouchistan wants freedom from Pakistan, Afghan's don't consider Durand line as a border, even Afghan Taliban rejected this. They want their land back Sindhudesh is not far from horizon. Azad Kashmir wants Azad back. Pakistani Taliban wants Islamabad. You are worrying about Siachen and Kashmir ! Wow unbelievable.
@Someone:
Siachen was always Pakistani territory to begin with. Lose or win, India’s occupation of Siachen shall always remain illegal and India’s occupation of Kashmir has always been, and will continue to be, rejected in Pakistan.
I missed the part which explains -Why EVERYONE should get worried about , what SOMEONE thinks.
Can you tell me once more, Please?
you know what you have to give it to the the pakistanis, they dont have industries hence they dont pollute. Thank you very much.
@Sami khan Singh: Siachen was always Pakistani territory to begin with. Lose or win, India's occupation of Siachen shall always remain illegal and India's occupation of Kashmir has always been, and will continue to be, rejected in Pakistan.
LOL......while commenting this guy tucks himself secretly somewhere with his legs shaking in fear and he thinks we will pay heed to his pathetic comment.... i mean look at the way the comments of pakis changed over years 1980sss : - we will take siachen....we will eat grass but take siachen....... 1990ss :- no worries boys....... we makes nuclear and then bombs the kafirs and taken THE siachen..... early 2000 :- we will raise the issue of siachen in UN 2013 :- ohh man come on now.... leave it for ENVIRONMENT'S sake.... BWAAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAH....... u amaze me pakistan..... bwaahahhahah. KIND ET plz publish .... i haven't written anything offensive .... since i follow the code and ethics of this paper.... thank you :)
So Pakistan Military lost Siachen to India, now they are begging. Wow unbelievable.
siachen glacier is our land . Whatever our troops do there it's there duty . Mind your own business .
Guys start digging Trenches ++++++++++++++++++++++ NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said there was no possibility of Pakistan winning any war against India in his "lifetime".
"There is no scope of Pakistan winning any such war in my lifetime," he told reporters.
He was reacting to a reported statement of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a daily newspaper that Kashmir is a flash point which "can trigger a fourth war" with India.
The reported statement was published in an influential daily of Pakistan, which has since been denied.
@Wiser than U: I agree -- the guy in the picture is soooooooo "innocent". He wants India to vacate Siachen so that Pakistan can take it over through its soldiers clad as "freedom fighters". Mr. Sartaj Aziz says that the presence of Indian forces is harmful to Siachen. The truth is that the presence of terrorist network in Pakistan, supported and funded by Pakistani government, is harmful not just to India but the entire world.
Sartaj Aziz should retire and join Taliban and help making Pakistan a true Islamic country. People like him pollute the environment when they open their mouth. He has to say weird things to keep his job.
@Polpot: I was referring to Kashmir in that comment and your poor misquoting attempt at my comment still doesn't take the context out of it.
Sir I am sure you are dazzled by my wit wisdom and intelligence. I will stop as soon as I make a pretty Pakistani girl friend. Fair?
You possess anything but wit, wisdom and intelligence. And it is highly unlikely a Pakistani girl would want to befriend you.
@Pakistani: "Hahahaa….don’t worry Lalay…..we know how to deal with you lot, as we have done so many times in the past! Besides, India is all talk and no action". Fully agree with you. That is why we will vote Mr. Modi,, the killer of ............. Once again he will show us the end results to those who has harmed India. Get ready.
India illegally sent its troops in Siachin. Now both countries are wasting huge resources on the maintenance of their forces in Siachin. India has no right to occupy our land even if it is barren and even grass does not grow there. Although Surtaj Aziz's demand asking India to pull its forces, is late but even then it is a good move and India must pay heed to this demand and pull its forces immediately to avoid further losses .
@Albert Faulkner: "What are the interests of India, may I ask? Apart from acting as a regional hegemon, being well aware of the destruction its policies cause?" Ask your Martian government to approach. We will answer them.
You guys should complain to ET and stop Indian comments instead of whining and being cry babies not being able to handle Indian truthful comments :-))))
@Hani Sindhi: Not surprising India loves spreading poverty everywhere starting from mumbai slums
Now dont blame India for the fact that Pakistan has the biggest slum in the world ...Orangi Town anyone....
ETBLOGS1987
ET mods - please allow factual rebuttals to points made in the news item and by a couple of Pakistani readers.
Sartaj Aziz is clutching at straws. Pakistan had attempted to occupy Siachen in 1984 but was preempted by India. There had been 3 attempts thereafter by Pakistan to dislodge India which were unsuccessful. This was followed by Kargill which was thought to be a way to get Siachen by cutting off supply routes. This man had lied through the teeth at that time claiming no Pakistani soldiers were involved. Now, after nothing has worked, he is trying the environmental angle - as though Pakistan has a track record of taking care of environment. If it did, it would not allow Arab royalty the permission o hunt endangered species. Statements like this prove that Nawaz is not sincere about peace with India and simply saying things for world audience in order to get investments. Nice try but won't work.
@Munir: We are aware of the facts you stated. What ismissing is your nderstanding of Indian position. But you are one of t he few with whom there is no disagreement on facts,
Indian position is this: Because the LoC is incompletely demarcated, India is asking for it to be completely demarcated on the basis of the Nj9842 and thence North to the glaciers. If this is done, it would be clear that Siachen is on the Indian side of the LoC.
You are correct that India occupied the Siachen glaciers in 1984 but perhaps not aware of the background. It is on record that despite the definition of NJ9842 and thence North to he laciers resulting in Siachen be ing on Indian side, Pakistan was allowing visitors and campers o access it from Pakistani side. It had then planned to occupy Siachen completely and when India came to know of these plans it preempted Pakistan and took control.
@Pakistani - you talk about India is all talk and no action. That is partially true. ndia does not take any axion unilaterally. But when it is subject to Pakistani aggression, it has taught a lesson each time. If you were taught correct history, you would know that.
Siachin conflict was initiated by india, the siachen region as per shimla agreement was no man's land. It was india who invaded the glacier for their malicious intent of destroying Pakistan.
India is the root cause of Kashmir conflict in 1947, when they invaded Kashmir against the will of Kashmiri people. It was india who accepted UN resolution for giving Kashmiris their basic right of self-determination and then never fullfilled those promises....
If they continue to do so,,, they will suffer... Pakistan is not Bhutan or Nepal.....we have guts and will to answer the indians.....
India is the one who is having troubled relations with its neighbor from bhutan to Nepal, bangladesh to Srilanka and China to pakistan.......
India need to act wisely to solve the regional issues in order to enable herself and the regional countries to eradicate powerty from South asia....
In that case, you might want to sign the agreement clearly demarcating the positions on the glacier as quickly as possible. The faster you do it the faster India will be able to withdraw forces from Siachen. After all, given your army's love for land (especially land belonging to Jammu & Kashmir), we cannot trust you any more.
Then Why Pakistan is NOT ready to accept the AGPL so that Indian forces can withdraw from Siachen?
Not surprising India loves spreading poverty everywhere starting from mumbai slums
Indians, this is pakistani domain, your comments are not welcome here at all. Go comment on your hindu nationalist sites
@Pakistani: We have engaged India in Siachin since 1984 so it can be safely deduced that we can afford it ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Indeed true so what if it is safely financed by IMF:)!
@Someone: "We all know Siachin is in Kashmir, and Kashmir and the rest of the Universe is Pakistani territory illegally occupied by a foreign country (who’s existence is unfortunate)." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sir I am sure you are dazzled by my wit wisdom and intelligence. I will stop as soon as I make a pretty Pakistani girl friend. Fair?
@polpot: How about write all your thoughts in one comment? I understand this is an exciting topic for you, but you do realise that jamming the thread with too many comments and just gaining recommendations from your compatriots is not going to change Pakistan's stance. We all know Siachin is in Kashmir, and Kashmir is Pakistani territory illegally occupied by a foreign country (who's existence is unfortunate).
Acording to Sartaz Aziz India is exporting pollution via Siachin into Pakistan ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And Pakistan is exporting terror into India to mainatain trade balance! MFN in action!
@vasan: We have engaged India in Siachin since 1984 so it can be safely deduced that we can afford it. By the way, the support of LTTE by the Indian Army was legal!!
Sartaz Aziz blames Indian occupation of Siachin for the Load shedding in Pakistan +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and the rise of Taliban. What next?
@polpot: The bodies of the soldiers have been recovered by the Army. Importantly, it was a non combat incident and should therefore be left at that.
Sartaz Aziz has unique talent for putting his foot in his mouth ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ First on Kargil then Drones and Now Siachin! Hat Trick Sir.
Pakistani : Do u realize that you guys are paying more for your army and nukes even after deducting the alms from US (from 1948) and illegal sale of nukes to N Korea etc. You can deduce who can afford and who cannot.
@tch Tch tch: Well, i really feel sorry for you if you took that as my concern!!
I just would like to know the esteemed opinion of MR Sartaj Azis, now that he has questioned "presence of Indian soldiers" in what is presumed to be Indian territory,
Presence and spreading of polio virus in and from Pakistan Presence of OBL in Pakistan till he was taken out Presence of haqqanis and Quetta shura inside Pakistan, esp in Islamabad itself And above all terrorism universities inside PakistanI am sure Pakistan will have so many "presences" to worry about rather than Indian territory.
@rahul:
yeah rite.!!!!.and you think India is a super power!!!! ..non of your neighbors are happy with you be it Bangladesh or Nepal etc etc.... You arrogance, could not control Pakistan in the last 50 years... your security is so pathetic that 4 people destroyed the whole city within 2 days!!!! it was obviously a very sad incident but a blow to your security agencies....!!!
Pakistan is also not in a very good shape..but rather posting negative comments you could work to improve relations and make both countries a better place to live!!!!
@Someone: Hmm, how about u stop producing jehadis for a change.
@Pakistani: "Indians end up paying far more than us." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Maybe so but Pakistan lost many of its soldiers in a massive avalanche and their bodies are still buried on the glacier. At that time India offered Pakistan its expertise in life saving equipment! We respect Indian and Pakistani soldeirs engaged in duties of their nations.
@vasan: Good to see that the higher altitude is taking its toll on the Indian army; in all respects!!
@Pakistani: "India is all talk and no action." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Agree ! Thats why India walked into Siachin and Sartaz Aziz is doing the talking.
Pakistan invaded Kargil Heights in 1999 to protect the Environement ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Shame on India that they kicked the Pakistanis out. Musharraf should be awarded Nishane Ecology......
@pakistani So you are concerned about expenses for India??? I am very touched by your love for India.
@vasan: "I am sure that Mr Sartaz aziz means the resolution of issue on Pakistani terms." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Nah he is a gentleman...he wants Indian soldiers to merely vacate Pakistani territory of Siachin :)!
Presence of pakistani armed forces is harmful to pakistan
Pakistan allowing its arab masters to hunt endangered animals is more harmful.
Sartaz Aziz should be the next Pakistani Ambassador to China ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you look at the picture you can see his eyes are pure chinese!.
Dear Moderator
Thanks for publishing so many of my comments. You and I know the one comment that you did not!!
But of course Pakistani forces can stay on the glacier because "they" are good for the environment!
Common my Indian friends (who more interested in reading Pakistan domestic issues than to look at theor own house.........any how they are welcome...) Another hard fact about a small neighbor Nepal........... "Despite numerous similarities, India and Nepal tend to have difficulties in resolving many vital issues common to both of them, including border disputes, trade and transit issues, and matters relating to cooperation in the water sector. Successive political leaders in both countries have been unable to demonstrate the degree of farsightedness and wisdom required to cultivate and nurture a relationship that does not actually call for much hard work or a major sacrifice in order to flourish. Unfortunately, problems between India and Nepal persist and small differences become larger and then seem to be intractable."
@Albert Faulkner: The biggest polluter of the earth is the USA why dont u take their matters into your hands ? Scared of UNCLE SAM ?
I am sure that Mr Sartaz aziz means the resolution of issue on Pakistani terms. Tough. India is at a higher altitude literally and has offered a way out by asking Pak to acknowledge the current positions, Take it or leave it.
@Malatesh: Just because nothing grows in that part of the world does not give you the right to invade besides, we have been kicking your posteriors since then. Infact, it works in our favour if India stays in Siachin because you Indians end up paying far more than us.
@u patil: this is the guy who was shaking in front of Bill Clinton during the Kargil war. These comments are ignored by the Indian politicos and the people of India become more determined to safeguard their interests!
What are the interests of India, may I ask? Apart from acting as a regional hegemon, being well aware of the destruction its policies cause?
The historical facts for ignorant Indian readers........"The conflict in Siachen stems from the incompletely demarcated territory on the map beyond the map coordinate known as NJ9842. The 1972 Simla Agreement did not clearly mention who controlled the glacier, merely stating that from the NJ9842 location the boundary would proceed "thence north to the glaciers." UN officials presumed there would be no dispute between India and Pakistan over such a cold and barren region".........India gains control of the entire Siachen Glacier and the crest (top) of the main Saltoro Ridge west of the glacier, territory formerly occupied by neither India nor Pakistan.............
Indian readers are requested to realize and understand the root cause of every conflict in the region as per the statements from third party (UN)....
Your continued presence at age 0f 90 years is harmful to youth growth
Those who dont like peace to prevail would do such things.. Mr. Manmohan singh proved himself to be the greatest terrorist by supporting Sarbajeet Singh, a convicted murderer & then labelling him as a hero.. this further proves his butcher mentality..
Such acts are detrimental to India also.. as they should not cry if similar thing happens to them in future.
His statement brings more damaged to the environment by sound pollution.
What the man from Pakistan has said is the tip of the Ice Berg and should be the subject for Bangla Desh and China as well. The global warming coupled with the activities of the Indians and the Chinese on the other of the cliff are likely to cause floods of the magnitude of trapping the estimated 100 million people of Bangla Desh whose escape from the floods has been sealed by the Indian security wall.
Rex Minor
@polpot: 'India insists that the....agree to that'. Why would we agree to such a ridiculous idea just because India insists!! The conflict started because the Indian Army invaded Siachin in 1984 so the onus is on the Indian government to withdraw its troops first.
he is the same person who said US will stop drone attacks and the next day drones killed 3 people in pakistan. not even in ungoverned FATA but in KPK..!!
wow. what a great minister.
I think pakistan is making more damage to the environment by suicide bombers and gun fire !
@Malatesh: How about you stop funding them?
@shashi: @Bharat: Hahahaa....don't worry Lalay.....we know how to deal with you lot, as we have done so many times in the past! Besides, India is all talk and no action.
Yes, Indian troops should withdraw so that the Mujahideen can sneak into our territory. In your dreams Pakistan. Our troops brave sub zero (-50 degree celsius) temperatures all round the year in Siachen for a Purpose. So that the PAK Jihadi pests don't do a repeat of Kargill.
Kargill infiltration took place at a time when AB Vajpayee had just finished holding peace talks in Pakistan with Nawaz Sharif. Now that the situation is even more volatile you think our troops will trust you again and withraw from the frontlines. We have learnt from our mistakes. the biggest mistake of them all being to trust Pakistan.
"Presence of Indian forces on Siachen Glacier is harmful to the environment" This argument is similar to that US drones cause loss of innocent life but the bombing by PAF F-16 only kills terrorist without a loss of innocent life.
He is a joker. Why is he in the news these days? Isn't he the same guy who commented about US drone attacks and next day there was one.
Indians talk to the world leaders[we are part of G20] as equals. We don't take orders from anyone! The western world wants to do business with us. As though they are going to worry about Siachen in the middle of the night. Google the visit of NS and Sartaj Aziz to the US in 1999 and google the interaction between president Nixon and Indira Gandhi. Those were the times when the whole world was with Pakistan. Waqt waqt ki baat hai janaab!
who cares :@
Prime minister should understand that Mr Sartaj Aziz's presence near the foreign office is bad for Pakistan's foreign policy. He suffers from visceral negativity.
Get a life, dear Pakistan!
@Albert Faulkner: this is the guy who was shaking in front of Bill Clinton during the Kargil war. These comments are ignored by the Indian politicos and the people of India become more determined to safeguard their interests!
"Pakistan is facing a water shortage and Indian forces are damaging one of the largest sources of water to Pakistan on a regular basis‚ Aziz said." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Poor guy exposing his lack of understanding. Global warming is accelerating the melting of all glaciers and increasing water flow. Prepare for Floods !
Sartaz Azxiz discussed this aspect with the Kashmiri separatists while his visit to New Delhi ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Indian Govt should have declared hima persona non grata then and there.
Pls take Sartaz Aziz Seriously ++++++++++++++++++++++ He is the guy who in Washinton during Kargil crisis made a public statement that there is not a single Pakistani soldier across the LOC on the Indian side. !!!!!
"Presence of Indian forces on Siachen is a big issue and should be resolved as soon as possible" +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The ball is in Pakistan's court; India insists that the current positions of the Indian Forces be mapped and acknowledged. Pakistans doesnt agree to that . Why?
"Aziz also said that water should be properly used in Pakistan" +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Wow how did he stumple upon this gem in the 7th decade of Pakistans existence?
"Presence of Indian forces is harmful to Siachen Glacier: Sartaj Aziz" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Of course things would be different if the soldiers were Pakistani :)!.
@rahul: "Do you think anyone will takes(Pakistan) you seriously?" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Yes. I am sure Hafeez Saeed will take this input seriously. Pls await his reaction.
@Someone: Your argument is baseless.. you have already destroyed south Asia's environment by your state sponsored terrorism.
Look at his picture, how much innocent his face is looking.
In 1984, Pakistan said siachin is waste land where it is not even possible to grow even single grass, Indians are stupid to acquire this land. Why crying now? You woke up now?
@Hmm: Don't ignore for too long, because soon the world will start to be concerned about the damage you're causing. Water is a scarce resource in today's world, if India can't respect it, we the world will take India's problems into our own hands.
keep dreaming pakistan.
@rahul: How about you stop destroying the environment for a change?
You have right to say , we have right to ignore it.
Do you think anyone will takes(Pakistan) you seriously?
