The team is placed in Group B in the competition along with England, Mexico and Denmark as eight teams vie for the title and have a chance to win a handsome prize of INR10 million. Pool A consists of hosts India, the USA, Kenya and New Zealand.
Pakistan will next take on England on December 7, while their last group match will be against Mexico two days later.
It should be mentioned here that authorities had to search hard in different universities and colleges to hunt the required talent and form a decent 16-member squad, which could go on to represent Pakistan at the international level in the mega event.

Pakistan girl kabadi team will be a force to reckon with. Team was formed in last few months and it was their first international exposer against an experienced Danish team.
EVER wondered that there is not a single world class sports talent(except maybe Maria Toorpakai) in a country of 200 million??! Unfortunately women of my country are amo g the least fit and sporty in world.
Have you even see the match. Most of the pakistani female players were so out of shape. They put up a good fight but lacked the experience to hold the nerve.
