Federal Minister for Information and Law Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday the protest against Nato supplies by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allies will create problems for Pakistan on international level.
“It is everyone’s right to protest, but blocking the supply line through street power would earn a bad name for the nation,” Rashid said.
Lashing out at Imran Khan and his party, the federal minister said if protests against Nato supplies was a good move, why the PTI government and leadership in K-P did not participate in the protest. He said protests on the roads would turn the workers of PTI towards violence.
Talking about the dialogues with Taliban, he said that disclosing complete details of the negotiation process to public is not a good move and issuing statements on this issue in the media should be avoided.
Regarding the runaway food prices, he said, K-P where PTI leads the government is the major producer of sugar and potatoes; therefore, Imran Khan and his government should control and reduce prices of these commodities after which the federal government would also decrease the prices of other commodities and thus inflation would be controlled.
Talking about Nawaz-Karzai meeting, the minister said positive results would be the outcome of the meeting which would have a good impact on the economic and social condition of the region. Both the countries would work to overpower, poverty, unemployment and diseases in the region, he elaborated.
Talking about next foreign tour of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the minister said the PM would visit Russia soon. Rashid said Russia has an important role in establishing peace in the region. “Pakistan wants good relations with all its neighbours,” he added.
About the recent increase in the price hike and the rising value of dollar against rupee, the federal minister said that it is due to the government’s recent payment of the tranche of loans.
Talking about spread of militancy, the minister said that it is not just an issue of the political parties but of the entire nation.

Lol Mr Pervez Rashid ! Do u have any idea that how much KP has progressed. We all PTI supporters accept that progress has been slow, but everything promised has been initiated. The media has fully exploited this slow start to portray negative image of Imran Khan, but the media doesnt know that Imran khan is not in KP without any purpose. He is here to do work.
talking to media minister of information and law disclosed his devotion to US as he said that NATO supplies would not be halted.this is is the doubled standard of Federal govt.why they dont openly cofess that Govt has already had signed contract with US on drone attacks. The govt allowed drone attacks. The govt is totally inclined towards US policies regarding drones.the govt should mentain a stance over drone.
pervez rashid seems to be disinformation minister
I think Mr. Raheed argument shows that he had achieve the excellence of Madness. Save this madness accepting the bitter and ugliest truth that Nawaz regime is continuing the legacy of Musharraf.
