‘Unnecessary usage’: Loudspeakers, FM transmission banned
Those who were found guilty of violating the law would be charged under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
SWABI:
District government officials of Swabi imposed Section 144 on the unnecessary usage of loudspeakers and FM radio stations on Sunday. Section 144 will remain imposed for an indefinite time period. A statement issued from the district magistrate Swabi’s office stated Section 144 was imposed in the district on unnecessary usage of FM radio stations and on loudspeakers in mosques. The statement further read the section will also be imposed on the display of weapons, non-customs paid vehicles, unregistered motorbikes, and on protests. Those who were found guilty of violating the law would be charged under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
