NOWSHERA: Unidentified armed men shot and killed a roadside vendor in Akora Khattak Bazaar, Nowshera on Sunday. An official of Akora police said Jahanzeb, a roadside vendor who used to sell pakoras, was at the bazaar when unidentified men approached him and opened fire, severely injuring him. The official further said nearby shopkeepers rushed Jahanzeb to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Local traders took his body to GT road, blocked traffic and demanded immediate arrest of the killers. K-P Assembly member, Idrees Khan, and other political leaders came to negotiate with the traders, but they insisted to continue the protest until the murderers were arrested. Police officials said an investigation is underway.
