PEL climb to third after beating KPT

KARACHI: Pakistan Elecktron Limited (PEL) beat Karachi Port Trust (KPT) 2-1 to climb to third in the Pakistan Premier League.

Pel striker Muhammad Riaz scored the opening goal which was equalised by KPT’s captain Akhtar Mamil as both teams went into the interval all square. Muhammad Bilalwal then scored the winner for Pel in injury time to seal the win.

Meanwhile, PMC Athletico Club drew 1-1 with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). NBP striker Muhammad Ashfaq struck the quickest goal of the tournament just half a minute into the match, levelled 10 minutes later by Muhammad Qaiser.

Khan Research Laboratories defeated Habib Bank Limited 1-0 and Pakistan Navy overcame Afghan FC 2-1 in the other matches of the day.
