Sufi D Polo got the initial lead when Ahmed Ali Tiwana scored the first goal through a spot penalty from near the goal post in the first chukker, which was leveled by Nafees Barry of Wi-Tribe Rija’s.
Sufi Muhammad Farooq scored a second field goal for Sufi D Polo through a cut shot. Before the end of chukker one Babar Monnoo took the lead to 4-1 through a field goal.
The second chukker saw a sterling show from Wi-Tribe Rija’s veteran player Taimur Mawaz Khan, who with his brilliant stick work converted the 30 yards penalty hit into a goal to reduce the lead. However, soon after Ahmed Ali Tiwana again scored the goal for Sufi D Polo.
Few minutes later Taimur scored a field goal after the long chase to take the score line at the end of chukker two to 5-3. At the beginning of third chukker, he further reduced the lead to 5-4 with some brilliant stick work.
Hamza Mawaz Khan scored the fifth goal for Wi-Tribe Rija’s after a long chase to level the scores but a few minutes later Ahmed Ali Tiwana again took the lead to 6-5 for Sufi D Polo through his impressive solo effort.
A close contest was witnessed in the fourth chukker as well, as Tiwana scored a final goal for Sufi D Polo to take his team to a 7-5 win.
Taimur Mawaz Khan was declared man of the match.
