Nawaz was in Kabul on a one-day visit to Pakistan’s western neighbour to revive the peace process before Nato troops are withdrawn in 2014.
“I have assured my brother President Karzai that Pakistan would continue to extend all possible facilitation for the Afghan peace process,” the Prime Minister had said on Saturday.
“In our view, the key to a sustainable peace in Afghanistan 2014 and beyond is an inclusive political settlement. That is why Pakistan has steadfastly supported an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process,” Nawaz had stated.
Speaking at a rally held to protest against drone strikes in Lahore, Saeed said that the problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel.
The JuD rally participants were carrying flags and chanting slogans against the US, India and Pakistan's government.
The rally started from Nila Gumbad and culminated near Masjid-e-Shuhada where the leaders of the parties delivered their speeches.
Jamiat ulema Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq in his address said that continuation of Nato supplies, sectarianism, drone attacks and US intervention were not real problems for Pakistan -- the presence of the US in Pakistan was.
He said that non-Muslim countries were "conspiring" against Pakistan, stating that even the US and Russia were now working together.
Haq praised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan's stance in blocking Nato supply.
DPC rally
Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) demanded on Sunday that the government play its role in opposing drone strikes in Pakistan and also oppose construction of a wall in Kashmir by India.
The council warned that if this was not done, people would resort to taking matters into their own hands.
Various parties of DPC held a protest rally near The Mall in Lahore alongside participants of Jamatud Dawa (JuD).
Correction: A previous version of the story carried a misspelling of 'Nila Gumbad'. The error has been fixed.

Jamiat ulema Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq in his address said that continuation of Nato supplies, sectarianism, drone attacks and US intervention were not real problems for Pakistan — the presence of the US in Pakistan was. Brilliant!!whatever it means!!
Islamic Republic of Pakistan is neither Islamic, nor true republic nor pak. Whith these strategic assets no elected govt would be allowed to do much for the good fo the people.
This man is still on the street ...... How and why ?? This shows the reality of Pakistan .
Drone him and his supporters ....
@arif: We are not fool enough to fear him. If you say if we hate him, that would ideally suit us.
@umar: I don't know why we must give silly examples of Egypt.
Egypt has gone back 30 years. Please don't compare it with Pakistan!
@Babloo: HMMM, and just how do you know that he is "EX-CHIEF of the terror group LeT"??? These groups just change their names to continue their (terrorist) activities!
@Babloo: like india's policy dictated by a terrorist N Modi and his followers
"Saeed said that the problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel." Not all of them. We have local issues too, but yes, there are foreign lobbies working very hard to make sure Pakistan doesn't develop and incompetent leaders are brought to power one after the other. i) Droning of peace process was an apparent sabotage and clearly identified who didn't want Pakistan to prosper. ii) Continuous intelligence reports of RAW agents working in the tribal areas suggest that India has a strong hand in this. I don't know why don't such news make it to the newspapers? iii) Media lobbies continuously engineer the news to divert public opinion.
"He said that non-Muslim countries were “conspiring” against Pakistan" No, against the Muslim world.
If only my people could understand.
Hafiz Sahib and other Maulanas, stop fooling public and do something usefull . Your farce has been exposed. Let us live peacefully......please!
It is good to see that Pakistanis have finally woken up to know who is really pulling Pakistan down. Keep it and Pakistan will prosper. Congratulations.
I think Hafiz sahib is the one who creates fear into hearts of Pakistan,s enemies. Long live Hafiz sahib.
people would resort to taking matters into their own hands.
People has no body and no brain. The Body is in the hands of Pakistani politicians and the Brain is in the hands of Pakistani religious leaders.
Long live the Paple.
i think its Nila Gumbad not Nila Bumbad
"Saeed said that the problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel."
Ok, US and India may be creating all the problems with poor Pakistan, but Israel? I don't think they give a hoot about Pakistan, good or bad.
Sad part is the public buys this non-sense. ..Just sad for Pakistan
He should be PRESIDENT of PAK. to make life of Pakistanis more beautiful...
All the Establishment Stooges,PTI, Hafiz Saeed, Qadri etc are coming out, looks like Nawaz is doing something very right.
Hafiz saeed is real ameer in Muslims But pl z sport the imran khan.
These folks have ripped fabric of Pakistan by exploiting religion and now they are becoming defenders of Pakistan. I will not blame opportunist like him but the people who can see anarchy these people have created in Pakistan but still listen to them.

This is 'FANTABULOUS'.
On one side coalition of the unbelievers- India +US +Israel +Pakistan Government +non-Muslim countries +Russia.
Annnnd on the other the Believers led by Hafiz Saeed and Fazalullah and IK and Munawar Hassan.
Errr... Who is the real Emirul Momineen, Please?
I want my Water Car NOW!
India, Israel, US and European countries should stay clear off the road. Pakistan needs no help in destroying itself.
From the little I know, these religious nonsensical, emotional, and ignorant people are factories of conspiracy theories. Their factories of hate work 24/7, so in my humble opinion (one is entitled to disagree) these people have proved more destructive to our beloved country than that of US, India etc.
The fire has surfaced again. Thanks for uniting us with your anti india stand.
As much as I supported PTI in the past, I am really disappointed that because of them, these DPC clowns are again out of the bag and passing the most senseless statements.
Can the government authorities just put these lunatics behind bars so that normal peace-loving Pakistanis could work for the development of the country. We should learn from Egypt the way they contained the Muslim Brotherhood. The crackdown by Egyptian Army came despite the fact that 50.0% Egyptians supported the Brotherhood. Before the crackdown there were fears that it might lead to a full blown civil war. However, use of force have deterred people from engaging in a prolonged war. In Pakistan's case these fanatics don't even have widespread support. Thus the state should launch a full crackdown on these people and make Pakistan a better place to live. I know some people will disagree with my view on Egypt. I agree that democracy should have been allowed to run. But anyone whether a liberal or a conservative should have no right to encroach on people's freedom.
The sovereignty of Pakistan is not violated by drone attacks but the same is seriously being diluted as well as tarnishing its image by allowing the terrorists and radical elements to hold rallies and issuing threats against two biggest democracies of the world.
"...problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel". If ever a statement has made me want to pull my hair out - this is it. The biggest problem of pakistan is the pakistanis ourselves!! Bury our heads in the sand and blame others and we are doomed!!!
Who finances him? He must understand that the world is not with him, however, the world will apreciate Nawaz's policy and his initiative for progress in South Aisa.
Oh... These pakistanis are so peace loving by nature...
Hafiz Saeed has set up a parallel force DCO.Pakistni prime minsiter speaks on behalf of Pakistan because he is an elected leader.
DCO ( Difae council Pakistan), ? Then what is the function of the Army of Pakistan. Pakistan is suffering becuase of this man and his organization. why does he criticise PM, does PM work under him, will he dictate him what should Pakistani PM should say? Why is he anti-India?
Saeed said that the problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel. . Get a new line - you wore out this one.
With Cockroaches like these making statements without substance, really shows as to their ability to create a generation of fools ! No wonder no one really trusts or believes this Country anymore ! This man is responsible for lot of acts of terror and yet he is roaming free, only in Pakistan !
He said that non-Muslim countries were “conspiring” against Pakistan, stating that even the US and Russia were now working together.
Yes, no one anywhere else in the entire world has anything better to do.
Pakistan foreign policy it seems is dictated by the ex-chief of the terror group LeT, Hafeez Saeed. "Speaking at a rally held to protest against drone strikes in Lahore, Saeed said that the problems faced by Pakistan were all due to India, US and Israel."
