KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has denied rumours that Mustafa Kamal is resigning from his seat in the Senate. “There is no truth in this,” said a party spokesperson. “The party would have been the first one to be notified of a resignation and that has not been the case.” Kamal, who is an ex-nazim and former Rabita Committee member, has been inactive in party activities and is out of the country for the treatment of his ill wife. The party also denied rumours of any rift between MQM and Kamal, insisting that there are no problems between them.
