Status terminated: 33 policemen fired for continued absence

The fired policemen include 2 sub-inspectors, 8 assistant sub-inspectors, 3 head constables and 10 constables.

PESHAWAR/ BANNU: Capital City Police Officer Ijaz Khan terminated 10 constables from the force on Friday. A police official told The Express Tribune that constables Ajmir Shah, Syed Musawar Ali Shah, Ihsanullah, Muhammad Naseeb, Waqar Ali, Bakhat Mir, Olfat Raza, Muhammad Nisar, Ismail and Shakila Shaheen were fired for not showing up to work and being persistently absent. As a result, they were terminated. “These are the people who deserted the police at a time when their service were needed due to the current security situation,” he said. A notification was issued in this regard. Meanwhile, 23 policemen deployed in Lakki Marwat, including two sub-inspectors, eight assistant sub-inspectors, three head constables and 10 constables were also terminated on Friday for remaining absent from duties and corrupt practices.
